So it’s been a while, a long while, since we’ve posted anything and we just wanted apologize. As it so often happens, life got in the way of living. Actually all the crap that comes along with raising 5 kids, keeping marriages together, maintaing jobs and generally not killing the stupid ass in front of you who doesn’t know how to make a right turn without breaking, is what happened.
Nonetheless, we’re back with avengance so keep your eye out for upcoming posts, gift guides, a couple reviews and great laughts (let’s not forget the inevitable profanity!)
Out of the mouths of babes;
“Running shoes are very important, as are smoke detectors in houses.”
Yes they are…
Back to school is finally here!
After a summer filled with Day camp, and family vacation, we all need a break from each other and it’s great to get back to routine!
We got all three kids off to school on time and while there were no actual tears from the kids, there were 2 nervous children this morning and one super-calm, super-cool and super-collected child returning to take his place at the top of the class.
How did your day go?
Any tears from the children?
How about you? Were you teary-eyed?
I’d love to know how you felt today if your kids were going to school for the first time or if they were heading off to university of college.
We’d like to send our love and prayers to everyone’s friends, family and anyone who’s been affected by Hurricane Harvey. Please know you have friends and people to care up here in Canada. I wish we could do more to help than just prayers.
With love xo
Can you please give good parents a f#@king break??
I grew up playing in the park with my friends with no parents watching, riding bikes on our own, walking to nearby friends – christ, my mother should probably be jailed according this nosey neighbour.
Don’t get me wrong, the times have changed, I likely wouldn’t do some of the things my parents did, but playing in their own fenced in backyard is now grounds for calling child services? WTF?! looks like I’m likely gonna end up in jail too…
Stay the hell out of parents’ child rearing, unless you’ve got a damn good, JUSTIFIABLE reason not to.
