What a weekend…

I’m tired, cold, stressed, fat and dis-organized.  What can I say?

We had a busy weekend this past weekend.  We went to Sportball and karate, went to shul, down to Massey Hall to see the Barenaked Ladies “Snack Time” concert, found dinner, Timmy’s and did some shopping on Queen Street.  We hung out at home, made a huge mess, froze our asses off whenever we stood outside and went and had a playdate.  We bathed, cleaned and wondered what the fuck my 2 year old was thinking when he decided to eat coins. (More to come on this issue).

It was an interesting weekend.

I’m not ready for work yet.  I need to sleep.

Other interesting items that caught my attention this weekend:

1. The NFL finally made it to Toronto as the Miami Dolphins beat the Buffalo Bills 16-3 in a – yawn – probably very exciting game, if I cared about the NFL and their $500.00 per ticket.  Yawn.  There.  They came, it sucked, can we move on now?  The CFL is far more exciting but just needs better production to come anywhere near the NFL’s quality.

2. This weekend marked 2 anniversaries, 61 years since Pearl Harbour and the anniversary of some idiot named Marc Lepine who selected and shot woman at an engineering school in Montreal because he was not accepted to that school.  I remember when it happened and thinking how horrible it must have been for the students and their families and what kind of a sick-o would do that to innocent women.  That tragedy hits home for me every year when my wife reminds me that she was in Montreal’s other engineering school and it could have been her school hit by this wack-o.  Scary.

Remind me again when violence against women is going to be considered a hate-crime and actually enforced.

Oh, and why am I so itchy???
